Suctioning is a procedure used to clear a person’s airway by removing mucus or secretions using a suction catheter. Our training covers oral, nasal, and tracheal suctioning techniques with hands-on practice using clinical equipment. Participants learn when and how to suction safely, reducing the risk of complications and promoting client comfort.

Catheter Care
Catheter care is an essential aspect of maintaining urinary health and preventing infection for individuals with indwelling or intermittent catheters. Our training delivers hands-on learning on safe catheter insertion and maintenance. Participants will learn how to identify complications, maintain hygiene and support service user dignity throughout the procedure.

Tracheostomy Management
A tracheostomy is a surgical opening made in the neck to insert a tube into the windpipe, allowing a person to breathe. Our training provides hands-on learning in routine tracheostomy care, suctioning and emergency response. Learners gain the knowledge and skills needed to support clients safely and effectively.

Cough Assist
Cough assist is a non-invasive technique that helps clear airway secretions by simulating a natural cough using a mechanical device. Our training provides practical guidance on setting up and using the cough assist machine safely and effectively. Delegates will learn when it’s appropriate to use and how to monitor their service user's response.
